And while Gibbons is still grappling with the loss of the Grease star, whom she considered one of her best and dearest friends for more than 30 years, she is now sharing the very last communication she had with her shortly before her death.

Gibbons, 65, went on to say that even in the face of cancer, Newton-John never lost her “grace and kindness.”

“No artifice, no affectation, just an authentic, beautiful and infinite source of generosity and love. There will never be another like her – a true angel on earth,” she said of her friend, before sharing how the physical singer changed lives.

“Not just an iconic artist, but a humanitarian and pioneering voice to empower women to express themselves. Like so many others, she changed my life and encouraged me to aim higher and be better.”

Gibbons also revealed that she and husband Steven Fenton got to spend a final weekend at their ranch with Newton-John and husband John Easterling.

And while she admitted that her friend’s physical reactions “might have been a little slower,” the television personality claimed her spirit and loving optimism still shone through.

“The radiant smile and the generous heart came into their own,” she said of their weekend together.

“Olivia is smart and always engages others in conversations about her, she rarely talks about herself. She would quickly deflect any discussion about herself or her illness. It just seemed like she’d beaten the odds for so long that she might somehow be immortal.’
