Leicester City fans aren’t looking forward to a home game against Tottenham on Thursday night as they don’t have any senior centre-backs available to them.

COVID and injuries are starting to affect the football calendar at its worst as this is when the schedule is at its busiest.

Tottenham recently had their last two matches – Rennes and Brighton – postponed because of the COVID outbreak at the club.

Even now, they still have problems and will march to the King Power field tonight with exhausted spirit and lack of physical strength.

But even if the Foxes beat Newcastle last time, it looks like they’re in a much worse position.

In his pre-match press conference, Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Jonny Evans and Caglar Soyuncu were not in attendance for the game against Spurs, which leaves him without any suitable or recognized centre-backs.

Leicester fans think someone like Harry Kane, who scored four at King Power a few seasons ago, will now find form.

The Spurs player has only had one Premier League named this term. But this is a great opportunity for him to dive in and get his engine to work.

Kane, most likely, will face a full-back playing at CB, along with a young player from the academy.

If last season’s Golden Shoe winner can’t make it to the scoreboard or cause havoc from there, he’ll be seriously stoned and self-questioning.

Here’s a selection of Leicester fans reacting to the upcoming team news ahead of the Spurs game:
