Lil Wayne is facing a $500,000 lawsuit from his former chef Morghan Medlock, who says the musician wrongly fired her after she was left to care for their injured son.
In legal documents reviewed by TMZ, Medlock accused Lil Wayne, 40, of wrongful termination, retaliation and multiple illegal labor practices related to more than a year of employment for the entertainer.
Medlock told the court that she accompanied the lollipop artist — who threw 150 teenagers at A Weezy Christmas Bash at a Dave & Buster in New Orleans over the weekend — to Las Vegas over Memorial Day weekend in her place as the rapper’s cook .

Medlock said she began working for Lil Wayne in October 2020 and was tasked with organizing his “daily menus to accommodate his special requests,” The Blast reported, citing legal documents.
“Her duties included, but were not limited to, shopping and preparing each meal, coordinating the estimated number of meals to be prepared, as well as accommodating other requests and requests,” she said in court filings, noting that she was “on call” the majority of the time .
Medlock told the court that during the trip she was told her 10-year-old son was hospitalized in Los Angeles with “a serious head injury and a concussion that required an emergency hospitalization.”
Medlock said that Lil Wayne, real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., delayed the departure of the return flight by smoking marijuana on the plane.

Medlock said she subsequently left on another plane and told Lil Wayne’s assistant that she was leaving, sure they would understand given the circumstances.
Lil Wayne resigned from Medlock’s employment at the time, and she said members of the rapper camp kept asking her if she was quitting, to which she said no.
Medlock said that after taking care of her family, she tried to resume work for the music artist but “gave the cold shoulder,” TMZ reported.
Medlock said a Lil Wayne employee texted her, which was described as a “rude goodbye message,” before she was officially fired, TMZ reported.
She said Lil Wayne texted her saying, “Tell Chef Morghan this isn’t going to work;” and accused the rap artist of “behaving with a significant factor and causing harm.” [her] including but not limited to loss of income and other employment, welfare benefits, mental anguish and emotional distress.’
