Lisa Marie Presley was hospitalized after a possible cardiac arrest on January 12, 2023. according to TMZ.
According to TMZ, Elvis Presley’s 54-year-old daughter is still alive as her pulse has been restored. The entertainment site reported that Presley was “fully arrested” and resuscitated at her home with epinephrine.
Epinephrine is used “in emergency situations to treat very severe allergic reactions to insect stings/bites, food, drugs, or other substances.” WebMD reports. “Epinephrine works quickly to improve breathing, stimulate the heart, increase a drop in blood pressure, reverse hives, and reduce swelling of the face, lips, and throat.”
What is cardiac arrest? “Cardiac arrest, also called sudden cardiac arrest, is when the heart suddenly stops beating. The lack of blood flow to the brain and other organs can cause a person to lose consciousness, become disabled, or die if not treated promptly.” John Hopkins Medicine reports.

On Jan. 11, 2023, the day before her hospitalization, Presley attended the Golden Globes with her mother, Priscilla Presley, according to ET.
ET reported that the mother and daughter attended the ceremony in Beverly Hills to see Austin Butler win the award for Best Actor in a Drama Movie for his performance as Elvis in the 2022 film of the same name.
Praising Butler’s performance to ET, Presley said, “I really didn’t know what to do with myself after watching it. It took me about five days to process it because it was so incredible and so poignant and just so authentic that, yeah, I can’t even describe what it meant.”
Butler said deadlineon the Elvis comparisons: “I don’t think I sound like him anymore, but I think I must because I hear it a lot.”
