A ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star defended Lisa Vanderpump after a ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star insulted her.

During the RHOBH season 12 reunion, cast member Erika Jayne was questioned for previously posting a photo of Garcelle Beauvais’ memoir Love Me As I Am that was thrown in the trash when the book was first published last April. After host Andy Cohen brought up the subject of the devastated book during the reunion, Erika Jayne reminded viewers that Vanderpump also influenced the drama and joked that Erika might not “get” the book.

“I said that’s rich of you whose breath smells like garlic, chardonnay and cigarettes,” revealed Erika.

But one VPR star disagreed.

When Erika originally trashed the “Love Me As I Am” photo, Vanderpump defended her friend Beauvais. “To be honest, I thought that was pretty mean,” Vanderpump said said E! news back then. “Maybe Erika didn’t understand. Maybe Garcelle should have sent her a scratch and sniff book or something.”

It wasn’t long ago Erika answered to Vanderpump’s comment on Instagram, writing that the restaurateur “smells like garlic, cigarettes and chardonnay,” adding the hashtag #Halitosis.”

But when the subject came up again during the reunion, VPR star Ariana Madix, who worked for years as a bartender at Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR, had a different view.

“Lisa smells of expensive perfume and afternoon tea in an English garden,” Madix tweeted.

“I agree lol,” Vanderpump answered. “I love you… stupid women.” In a separate tweetVanderpump revealed she doesn’t smoke.

Scheana Shay also posted in defense of Vanderpump. The former SURver shared an Instagram photo as she posed with her longtime boss with the caption, “If you ask me @lisavanderpump smells like roses.”

This isn’t the first time someone has made a joke about Vanderpump’s breath. In a 2019 RHOBH sequence, Camille Grammer insulted the SUR owner while drinking martinis with the other cast members. During a tipsy tirade, Grammer, who used to be a dental assistant, spoke about Vanderpump’s teeth.

“Oh god, before Lisa Vanderpump got her teeth replaced… I had such gum problems! I thought, ‘Darling, you need new hats! Your gum line is receding!’ But now they look great. At least you can stand her breath!” said Grammer.

According to page six, Vanderpump’s husband, Ken Todd, fired back at Grammer on Twitter. “To attack her personal hygiene now disgusts me,” Todd wrote. “I could say here that my wife’s breath is as sweet as her, I’m the one who kisses her daily, I should know.”

Grammer later apologized for talking about Vanderpump. “I am very disappointed in my distasteful comments about Lisa. It was a joke but it was very tasteless. I’m so sorry @LisaVanderpump,” she said wrote.

Vanderpump accepted the apology but noted Grammer was trying hard to get into the #RHOBH Mean Girls Club. “I guess if you want to get into the #rhobhmeangirls you’ll have to come up with something,” she said wrote. “@TheRealCamille Thanks for your apology.”

At the RHOBH Season 9 reunion, the topic was brought up again, after people. Grammer revealed that Kyle Richards also spoke to her about Vandeprump’s off-camera breath, but the RHOBH OG denied the claim.
