Last season, Vitinha spent most of his season on the sidelines during a season-long loan at Wolves as he wasn’t trusted to face Liverpool and Tottenham.

The 22-year-old returned to Porto after the Premier League club decided not to activate his £18million purchase option.

Well that looks like a huge mistake, as Jurgen Klopp and Antonio Conte circle in.

What’s the matter?

Well, according to O Jogo, Liverpool are looking to sign the Portuguese maestro.

Elsewhere it was Mercado Azul who revealed Spurs are keen on the youngster, whom Deco once called a “remarkable” footballer.

Now thank you defense headquarterswe know how much they have to pay – it’s a lot more than the £18m option Wolves rejected.

The Spanish news outlet – which add that Real Madrid are also interested – believe those looking to sign Vitinha will have to pay €40m (£34m) for the privilege.

So far this season, the Santo Tirso-born playmaker has made it 38 Appearances in all competitions, recording three goals and three helps.

Liverpool and Tottenham should wait

In our view, Liverpool and Tottenham should wait before spending £34m on Vitinha.

While he’s clearly a talented player, there must have been a reason Wolves were so reluctant to throw him into the Premier League.

There are plenty of players who have had incredible performances in other leagues but struggled in the Premier League – like Radamel Falcao.

Therefore, Liverpool and Tottenham should wait before spending £34m on the midfielder as he could just be a flash in the pan.

Only time will tell if the wolves really made a big mistake in letting him go.
