Liverpool and Tottenham’s £65m target scores superb hat-trick, Edu already in talks

Benfica striker Darwin Nunez is a man in demand – and the Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham target once again proved his quality with a hat-trick this weekend.
Nunez has been in absolutely ridiculous form this season and it’s not slowing down at all.
Benfica faced Belenenses SAD on Saturday and actually fell behind as Afonso Sousa scored a shock opener for the visitors.
However, Nunez took charge and equalized before showing great movement and finishing ability to put Benfica ahead.
Nunez had his hat-trick just moments later when he fired home with his left foot to secure a 3-1 home win for Benfica.

That’s now 24 goals in 24 league games this season, with Nunez’s overall record standing at 31 goals in 36 games.
It now almost feels like it would be more of a surprise if Benfica managed to somehow keep Nunez past the summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur are said to have scouted Nunez just a few days ago for Benfica against Liverpool in action.
Liverpool themselves have had their eyes on Nunez “for a long time”. According to Melissa Reddy, while Record claims Arsenal have started talks over a deal.
Many more Premier League clubs are also believed to be interested in signing Nunez, with Saturday’s performance no doubt adding to the interest.
Of these three clubs, we would make Arsenal our favourites; here’s why.
Liverpool don’t necessarily need a striker at the moment; It’s hard enough for Jurgen Klopp to incorporate Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz into his attack.
Splashing the big bucks on Nunez – around 65 million pounds – just doesn’t work out for Liverpool unless someone goes.
Tottenham need a striker to back Harry Kane but it’s hard to imagine them paying that kind of money. Would Nunez really want Kane to play second fiddle?
Arsenal are in dire need of a striker who can pose a real goalscoring threat and Nunez fills the need as the Gunners appear ready to spend this summer.
This Nunez hat-trick is one goal shy of Alexandre Lacazette’s goals tally all season; That’s exactly why the Gunners want him.
