It was a Polish news agency Interior sports who claimed Liverpool and Manchester City were interested in signing 129-chap Poland international this summer.
Now, picture Journalist Christian Falk has revealed Bayern Munich would rather keep Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena but unless he signs a new contract they will sell for £33million.
According to the current status, the 33-year-old’s term of office expires in June 2023.
So far this season, Lewandowski has scored remarkably 47 goals in 42 Appearances while also provide six helps.
It has made his career a stunning one overall 506 goals in only 672 games.
Liverpool should ignore Robert Lewandowski
It seems bizarre to say given his goals record, but Liverpool should ignore Lewandowski this summer – Klopp just doesn’t need him.
The Reds have a number of world-class strikers at their disposal these days, with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Roberto Firmino at Anfield.
As such, Klopp already has too many options as he tends to start with a three-man front and just one centre-forward, which is the only position Lewandowski can operate in.
Only if one or two of those strikers leave should Liverpool make a move for Lewandowski, but as things stand the Reds don’t need the Polish poacher.
Still, keep an eye on this saga because anything can happen.
