Liverpool’s predicted XI vs Manchester City

Liverpool are still in the hunt for a historic quad and after a favorable Champions League draw, the FA Cup suddenly looks like one of the tougher competitions for the Reds.
The Merseyside side meet Manchester City for the second time in a week on Saturday and will be hoping for another strong performance against their closest rivals.
The Reds held Benfica 3-3 with a rotated squad midweek but that rotation should allow Jurgen Klopp to field his best XI here.
With that in mind, we tried to predict Liverpool’s starting XI for this game.
A Player Your Club MUST Sell This Summer (2022)
We believe Klopp will make seven changes from the side that started against Benfica when he returns to the side that drew against City last week.
Liverpool gave City a real scare at the Etihad last weekend and it’s hard to make the case for any change based on that performance.
To be honest, Mohamed Salah is the only player you could probably argue should be dropped. The Egyptian has not scored from open play since February and with Roberto Firmino and Luis Diaz in red-hot form there could be a temptation to drop Salah.
However, of course it’s almost impossible to drop a player like Salah in a game this big, so we expect the Reds to use the very XI that started at the Etihad a week ago.
