Liverpool striker Sadio Mane posted on Instagram that Senegal has ‘one more game’ to make history ahead of its Africa Cup of Nations final clash with Egypt on Sunday.

Weeks after the almighty tournament in Cameroon, Mane or Mohamed Salah will return to Liverpool with a priceless medal on his neck.

Mane is in better form than his team-mate at AFCON’s, with three goals and one assist, but Salah has been ahead in the pressured penalty kick moments.

Either way, both teams had some tense moments along the way, more so for Egypt, who lost their opening game and were involved in two penalty shootouts.

Either way, before the game, Mane posted a blunt message to his supporters and teammates on Instagram.

“One more match to make history forever is the boys,” Mane said. “Let’s do it. Go them Lions.”

Senegal will probably feel that they are favorites to go to tonight’s final because they have played better football than either side.

But Egypt have proven that if this match becomes sluggish and goes into extra time, they have the upper hand because of what they have been through in this tournament.

Either way, either Salah or Mane will make history with their respective countries and have elevated their legendary status.

If it were Mane, it would demonstrate how far he has come in his career and he is perhaps an underappreciated figure in recent years.

While Salah will probably prove that he is the best in the world if he can make miracles in a few more hours.
