The three-year funding will also provide some money for parent-child relationships and perinatal mental health support, with a focus on supporting families in children’s first five years of life.
Councilor Nova Charlton, Cabinet Member for Children’s Welfare, said: “The work to give future generations every opportunity to prosper begins with pregnancy.
“It means working with the whole family to give them the tools to nurture their children and give them the chance to reach their full potential.
“As a parent or carer, it’s not always easy to know what to do or where to go for advice, but Family Hubs will support families from birth through adulthood longer term, providing the advice, guidance and practical support that lays the foundation Success.
“This funding will help create the first center in the district that offers a more holistic service for the whole family.”
Councilor Anthony Burns, Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Communities and Culture, added: “We know that those children who get the best start in life are more likely to see a positive impact on a whole range of factors as they grow up, such as: B. the future prosperity and health and well-being.
“Family Hub would help us target our resources and focus from the start on tackling things like health inequalities.”
