LoL T1 test positive for Covid-19

Immediately after the conclusion of their record tournament, most members of the League of Legends T1 team tested positive for Covid-19.

In a notification by T1, they informed the fans of the T1 LoL team about the news. It reads:

We would like to inform fans that the T1 LCK League of Legends team ‘Zeus’, ‘Oner’, ‘Faker’, ‘Keria’ and ‘Moment’ tested positive for COVID-19 on today. Although ‘Gumayusi’, ‘Asper’, ‘Bengi’ and ‘Polt’ gave negative results, we will make sure they are safe.

They will be quarantined until April 9 according to government quarantine guidelines and will be treated in team rooms. We will ensure that the players get plenty of rest and fulfill all their needs for a speedy recovery during this time.

In addition, we will ensure that T1 Headquarters and facilities are thoroughly disinfected. Once again, we apologize for causing any concern to fans and will do our best to ensure a speedy recovery for the team. We ask for your endless support and encouragement during this time.

Thank you.

The news comes just a day after the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring 2022 Finals, which was held with a live audience. T1 CEO Joseph Marsh speak that he “wishes the boys a speedy recovery” and that “we had negative tests ahead of Saturday’s final. We would never knowingly put others at risk.”
