Loretta Mester says the Fed is on track for a 0.75 point July rate hike

Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank President Loretta Mester said the US central bank is watching for another major rate hike next month based on current economic conditions.

If a rate-fixing Federal Open Market Committee meeting were held today, Mester said Wednesday on CNBC that she would support a 0.75 percentage point rate increase “because I haven’t seen the kind of numbers in terms of inflation that I need to see to, you know, think we can get back to 50 [basis-point] get a raise.”
