Earlier this morning Leeds released footage of the players training at Thorp Arch in preparation for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Southampton.
In the video, we got a glimpse of the type of attacking drills Jesse Marsch likes to use, with overlaps and crosses coming from the outside.
Nine seconds into the video, we also see a brief glimpse of Luke Ayling’s leadership skills as he is seen helping Stuart McKinstry.
What’s the matter?
Well it’s only a two second clip but we can see Ayling talking to the 19-year-old while also tugging his arm seemingly to help him with his positional play.
You can see the footage below.

At the age of 30 with 215 Appearances for Leeds under his belt, Ayling is certainly someone Marsch can count on to guide the younger players.
It’s no surprise that the right-back would wear the armband in Liam Cooper’s absence when doing something like this at Elland Road.
Leeds have a gem in Stuart McKinstry
Hopefully we’ll see more of McKinstry under Marsch as he’s a very bright talent.
The Scottish prodigy has already made his Premier League debut for Leeds, coming on as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat by Tottenham in November.
McKinstry also earned another first-team game in the Carabao Cup against Fulham, which was a deserved reward for his efforts at the under-23 side.
The teenager, who can play on either flank or in the middle, can become a very useful cog under Marsch if he develops well.
With leaders like Ayling taking him under their wing, it certainly won’t be long before we see more of the exciting talent in the Premier League.
