M6 is now clear after repair work at Junction 21

The Junction 21 Northbound exit was closed from Wednesday morning 15th February until approximately 7am today 17th February.

The access road was blocked due to a collision in which a vehicle overturned.

The repair work also included repairs to the barriers on the driveway and the renewal of the road surface.

Initially, at least one lane of the M6 ​​was closed in the incident, but normal traffic resumed along the motorway soon after.

A spokesman for National Highways North West confirmed the slip road has reopened, saying: “The northbound M6 slip road off the J21 has reopened following emergency barrier repairs and renewal work.

“Thank you for your patience, have a safe journey.”
