Maci Bookout posted cryptic quotes on social media after Ryan Edwards’ arrest.

Teen Mom star Maci Bookout shared a series of posts on Instagram on Feb. 11, a day after her ex-boyfriend Ryan Edwards was arrested. Edwards had fallen out with his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, and was charged with molestation, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and a claim for physical harm, the authorities said The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. Before he was arrested, Edwards had shared a revealing photo of Standifer on Instagram, claiming she was having an affair.

Bookout worked on venting her anger at Edwards in Season 2 of Teen Mom: Family Reunion. The former couple share a 14-year-old son, Bentley, but Edwards has largely been absent from his son’s life.

Bookout didn’t provide a direct response to her ex’s arrest, but she did share various cryptic posts. The first was a quote from Atticus Poetry, what says: “If you’re reading this, you deserve to be loved.”

“So I heard this quote the other day that really struck me. It said you suffer from self-doubt while others are intimidated by your full potential,” says the narrator. “And I love that quote because I think we are our own worst critic. And it makes me wonder if your past self could see where you are today and think how impressed you would be.

Edwards was arrested after violating a protective order

Edwards, 35, was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office on February 10, 2023 after they were found to have violated a protective order issued by the Chattanooga Police Department on February 8, 2023. They listed Standifer as a victim. according to the press release.

Police said they found Edwards at his place of work, where they allege he was “in possession of drug paraphernalia and two bags of suspected narcotics,” according to the press release.

Edwards was issued $5,000 bail and his court date was set for March 30, 2023, according to an image posted by Teen Mom Chatter.

Before his arrest, Edwards posted derogatory comments via his wife on Instagram. The insightful photoshowing Stanfier with a leather jacket and nothing underneath was eventually deleted.

However, his new bio remains intact. “Your trash can used to stink so badly that you get sick, yes, that’s been my life for the last 7 years.” it says. “I well, all or nothing is better than you.”

Stanfider and Edwards, who have been married since 2017, have two children together: 4-year-old Jagger and 3-year-old Stella.

Bookout tries to let go of the “hostility” she harbors towards Edwards

Before the arrest took place, Bookout said during a season 2 episode of “Teen Mom: Family Reunion” that she wanted to forgive Edwards during an exercise where they figuratively and literally “bury the hatchet.”

“I want to release the anger I have for Ryan. But I don’t feel like I’m angry with myself. I feel like I’m angry with Bentley so I’m not sure I can bury that,” Bookout told life coach Dr. Cheyenne Bryant, who leads the retreat during Teen Mom: Family Reunion.

“There were times when he wanted to throw in the towel for Ryan,” Bookout added.

MTV then showed a throwback clip in which Bentley said he wasn’t with his father. When Bentley met Edwards, it was at his paternal grandparents’ home. He was not comfortable in his father’s house.

“I haven’t seen him in ages,” Bentley said in the flashback. “And then that would just be a big jump, not seeing him and then going straight to his house.”

Edwards’ arrest might be unexpected for some fans. Bryant teased that Edwards was fine and was working on his relationship with his son.

“Ryan emerged in a way that people have never seen him before,” Bryant said The sun. “It was just so nice to see Ryan in a place where he really wanted to have this relationship with Bentley but didn’t have the resources and was extremely open to success.”
