BALTIMORE (AP) – Baltimore police say they are conducting a murder investigation after a man was pushed onto some subway tracks and electrocuted.

The Baltimore Police Department said in a statement that the incident happened at the Port Discovery subway station on Wednesday afternoon.

“Preliminary investigations determined that the victim was standing on the edge of the platform when an unidentified man pushed him from behind, causing him to fall onto tracks and electrocuting him,” the department statement said. “The unidentified man fled the scene to an undisclosed location.”

Doctors pronounced the victim dead at the scene, police said. He was 28 years old.
