Man dies after car crash in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A man died in a single vehicle accident in Franklin County last Friday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, James Monn, 53, was driving east on Pensinger Road in Antrim Township. Monn pulled off the right-hand side of Pensinger Road and crashed head-on into a tree.

Police say Monn’s vehicle came to a stop after hitting the tree.

Rescue personnel from Rescue-Hose Company No. 1 pulled Monn out of the vehicle and he was taken to Meritus Hospital, police say.

According to police, Monn succumbed to his injuries in hospital and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.

Blue and Gray Towing towed the 2000 Toyota Echo from the scene as it was damaged in the impact.
