Man faces court for shooting that left father of six dead and three injured

A man will appear in court on charges of murder and three attempted murders following a series of shootings in northwest Scotland.
John MacKinnon, 47, died after shooting on the Isle of Skye on Wednesday morning.
Gunshots were also heard on land at Dornie, Wester Ross.
A 39-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the murder of Mr. MacKinnon
Three others were taken to hospital following the incident, including a man, 63, who was in “critical” condition and a woman, 32, whose injuries were described as “serious”.
The 39-year-old suspect is due to attend Inverness Sheriff’s Court on Friday to face charges related to the alleged murder of Mr MacKinnon and the alleged attempted murder of three other injured people.
A police spokesman said: “A 39-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the murder of Mr MacKinnon and conspiracy to kill three others who were injured.
“He is scheduled to appear at Inverness Sheriff’s Court on Friday, August 12, 2022.”
