Man taken to court after denying gun imitation allegations
A MAN charged with possession of a fake firearm with intent to incite fears of violence will be tried in a Crown Court later this year.
Nathan Halliwell, of Brookway Lane, Parr, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday January 18.
At a plea bargain and pre-trial hearing, Halliwell, 23, pleaded not guilty to possession of a fake firearm to stoke fears of violence.
He is accused of possessing an air pistol on December 19, 2022 with intent to lead Constable Skinner to believe unlawful force was being used.

Halliwell also denied a charge of using threatening or abusive words or behavior towards another person on the same day.
Judge the Recorder of Liverpool Andrew Menary KC set a hearing date for the week beginning Monday 2nd October this year.
The process is expected to take two to three days.
Halliwell, 23, has been released on bail and will appear in court for a hearing on April 3.
