Many people gather to kick off the first weekend of summer in Jersey Shore

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) – Nice weather, family fun and good company are the perfect recipe for the first official weekend of summer in the Jersey Shore.

“Yesterday was their last day of school, so we walked the board yesterday, and we wanted to celebrate today,” says Louie Planas of Egg Harbor Township.

At the music and seafood festival in Atlantic City, visitors enjoyed the salty summer air, delicious food, and some music.

The kids there said they were ready to say goodbye to school and say hello to summer.

On the boardwalk of Atlantic City, the first le dinner en blanc was held.

Mayor Marty Small Sr. “Atlantic City made history as the first city in New Jersey to dine, and we’re talking dinner in 2023,” said Atlantic City.

About 3,000 people dressed in their best and gathered quite a lot to not be present at the elegant event.

People say it’s a night to spend with good people, and enjoy the start of summer.

While the location was kept secret until the last minute, everyone was getting ready to start their summer at le dinner en blanc, in AC.

“This is going to be the biggest summer in Atlantic City’s history, take my word for it,” Small said.
