While the England team worked at St George’s Park, Sky Sports caught up with Crystal Palace duo Marc Guèhi and Conor Gallagher.

The pair – who are close friends – appeared to be in good spirits as Guèhi gave an interesting response when asked what advice he gives to Gallagher.

What’s the matter?

Well, the 21-year-old centre-back is the England U21 captain and has also captained Crystal Palace in recent weeks.

Asked what his advice is for the Chelsea prodigy on loan, Guèhi gave an answer Crystal Palace fans will love.

The sun believe Chelsea are valuing the England international at £50m.

Conor Gallagher will have to ignore Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle to stay at Crystal Palace

In our view, Gallagher would be crazy to go anywhere else with the World Cup coming up.

The one-of-a-kind tournament, set to take place in Qatar this November rather than in the summer, is not far off and if the Chelsea prodigy is stuck on the bench outside Selhurst Park it will seriously hamper his chances of progressing to the squad.

As things stand, Gallagher is one of the Premier League’s best midfielders and goalscorer in his role under Patrick Vieira eight Concurrent Deployment Goals five supports this notion.

Should he rejoin the Eagles – on a permanent contract or other loan deal – you would expect him to be picked by Gareth Southgate if he maintains his fine form.

All is set for Gallagher to succeed at Crystal Palace, while stepping into the unknown this summer could prove costly.
