Marsch makes sensational claim on the Leeds star, 30

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has claimed that Whites captain Liam Cooper is the best he has ever worked with during his time as football coach after beating Watford 3-0.
Talking to the Athleticthe American manager revealed that Cooper is the best skipper Marsch has ever worked with, with the Leeds defender putting on a heroic performance against Watford this weekend.
The Whites conceded their first goal since November as the Yorkshire giants took another big step away from the relegation zone, with Marsch’s side now nine points clear of Burnley, who play Norwich City later in the afternoon.
Cooper was instrumental for Leeds in the eight years that the Scotland international was at the club. The 30-year-old has been a key pillar for the club where the defender has been key against Watford this weekend.
With Leeds having one of the worst defenses in the Premier League, conceding against relegation rivals Watford is a great result, with Marsch taking ten points from his last four games.

And one player who has caught the American’s eye is Cooper, as Marsch said of the Leeds skipper after the Watford win: “I haven’t had a better captain in my entire time as coach.”
Cooper’s influence was massive as Leeds thrashed Watford
Skepticism ran high when Marsch replaced Marcelo Bielsa earlier this year but following Leeds’ win over Watford this weekend the decision is proving to be one of the best the club have made in recent memory and Cooper’s influence continues to thrive.
Indeed, one goal conceded can lead to the next for Leeds and following their emphatic win over Watford, Marsch and Cooper have the potential to forge an excellent manager-captain relationship for years to come.
