Marvel Snap’s new Series 5 card makes Death & Galactus decks even more obnoxious

Death and Galactus are about to get really annoying.

Marvel Snap players finally got their chance to pull Galactus after Second Dinner Collector’s Tokens released along with Series 4 and 5. Galactus has an incredibly unique ability where he destroys all other locations, forcing players to fight head-up for a single lane.

It also pairs incredibly well with Death, a 9-cost card that’s reduced each time a card is destroyed. If you get Galactus out on turn 4 or 5, you’ll likely be able to destroy a whole bunch of cards, resulting in a 0-cost death.

Enter Knull, who will be the next Series 5 card to be added to Marvel Snap. Knull is a 6-cost, 0-power card with an ongoing ability that allows it to gain the combined power of all cards destroyed during that game, which is absolutely insane. This makes Knull a natural pairing with both Galactus and Death, and it might be a fool to go up against a big powerhouse like this.

There are of course ways to counteract this. Cards like Leader, Shang-Chi, and Enchantress can handle Knull to a lesser extent, but you need to be aware that Galactus decks often do Spider-Man as well. If Galactus folds on 4 and Spider-Man is played on 5, you cannot react on turn 6, which usually means an automatic loss.
