Marvel Snap’s new Vibranium mines location is like Subterranea, except it’s actually useful

news

Vibranium Mines is the new featured location for Marvel Snap.

There’s nothing more annoying than playing a game of Marvel Snap and having Subterranea appear as the first location. It shuffles five checkers into your deck, and if you don’t already have Patriot in your hand, those checkers are basically dead draws. Of course, Marvel Snap creator Ben Brode vehemently disagrees with me and makes a compelling argument as to why the more controversial locations are actually great.

Anyway, this week’s special spot is the Vibranium Mines. The location effect is as follows: When you play a card here, shuffle 3 Vibranium into your deck. Just like stones, Vibranium are 1 cost cards. However, they also have 4 power, making them infinitely more useful than stones.

Patriot decks will absolutely have a lot of use out of this place, but even if you don’t use Patriot it’s also really good value to be able to get 4 power for just 1 energy. You can probably expect to see tons of Patriot decks over the next few days as there’s a 40% chance of special locations appearing in your games.

Marvel Snap is available now on PC and mobile.
