More about ‘Jeopardy!’ Professor Tournament Winner

Sam Buttrey was able to go up against 14 different very knowledgeable professors, which is no small task.

Not only that, fans back home were completely mesmerized by Buttrey looking so much like Hollywood star Steve Martin. As for the other competitors, Ed Hashima from Sacramento, California came in second and $50,000. Meanwhile, Alisa Hove, from Asheville, North Carolina, came in third and walked away with $25,000.

“This has been the best time ever, and being on the pitch in front of all these other great players is something I will always remember. The team is all very smart, charming and warm, and there’s a real sense of camaraderie right from the start,” Buttrey said, according to Limit line, regarding his experience on the show.

He even talked about how he looks forward to playing again, especially against Matt Amodio. “I want to play Matt Amodio, he’s a strong player and I want to see how I can do it,” he said.

It seems like Professor Champion The hard work of preparing for the concert also paid off for him.

“I practiced standing up – I wanted to make sure I played stand up – humming in the toilet roll and then just reading all the old questions. There is a website where fans have aggregated 400,000 old Jeopardys! questions. They don’t reuse questions now, but reading old questions gives you a feel for what they’ll emphasize,” Buttrey tells WebMD. KSBW.
