Matthew McConaughey, Nicole Kidman Mourn ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ Director Jean-Marc Vallée

Hollywood’s A-listers poured in on Monday following the death of director Jean-Marc Vallée.
A native of Montreal, Vallée is said to have died suddenly at his chalet in the suburbs of Quebec City, Quebec on Sunday at the age of 58. Deadline reports that a sudden heart attack was the cause. to death, although this has not been confirmed.
A mainstay in the entertainment industry, Vallée’s career spans more than three decades, and the director is the man behind critically acclaimed films like Wild and three-time Academy Award winner Dallas Buyers Club. He has also directed two critically acclaimed shows on HBO: Emmy Award Nominated Sharp subject and won an Emmy Big and small lie.
In addition to directing several films, Vallée is also an accomplished producer, editor, and writer.

Vallée’s producing partner, Nathan Ross, confirmed his death in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, called him “a true artist and a generous, loving young man.”

As news of Vallée’s death spread, many actors who had worked with him on both the big screen and the small screen expressed their grief over his passing.
Nicole Kidman, who won an Emmy for Lead Actress for her role in Big Little Lies, a television series based on the book of the same name, said in a statement that “it is hard to imagine someone as lively, energetic and present as Jean-Marc passing away.”
“He is at the center of my creative universe and I cannot overstate how important he is to me,” Kidman continued. “Jean-Marc is not only responsible for some of the most rewarding professional experiences of my career, but his friendship, kindness, and love are inspirations that I will carry with me.”
Again Big Little Lies Actress, Laura Dern, shared a Instagram The post said that “the world has lost one of our greatest and purest artists and dreamers. And we have lost a beloved friend.”
Another tribute comes from Matthew McConaughey, who won Best Actor at the Academy Awards and Golden Globes for his biographical portrayal of AIDS patient Ron Woodruff in Dallas Buyers Club.
“With tender hands and a heart, Jean-Marc is a real receiver – he doesn’t romanticize life so much that he sees life as romantic – from the struggle to the pain to the wink. eyes and whispers, love stories everywhere in his eyes,” McConaughey tweeted.
Jared Leto, who co-starred with McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club and won the award for Best Supporting Actor at Oscar for the role, saying on Instagram that Vallée was “a real force in filmmaking and an artist who changed my life.”
Reese Witherspoon, who worked with Vallée on both Big Little Lies and Wild, wrote on Instagram that she “will always remember [Vallée] when sunset. “
“I love you, Jean Marc. Until we meet again,” Witherspoon added.
Even the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau reacted to the news, releasing a statement saying that “Vallée’s passion for filmmaking and storytelling is second to none – so is his talent.”
“Through his work and with his art, he has left his mark in Quebec, across Canada and around the world,” Trudeau continued.
