Sources close to Maura claimed Scott’s outfit didn’t match her assignment and she was “disappointed” after requesting that her outfit resemble Paris Hilton’s 2002 chainmail dress.

Scott, who was creative director at Mulberry, is known for his bold, revealing designs.

Some of his most famous looks include Jodie Kidd’s spider web dress, which the model wore to the Spider-Man premiere in 2002, and S Club 7 singer Tina Barrett’s cut-out red dress.

Scott was also responsible for Samantha Mumba’s diamond net dress, which has been described as the world’s most expensive dress, costing a staggering £5million and is now on display at the Natural History Museum.
