MDMA and magic mushrooms are approved for treatments
MDMA and magic mushrooms have been approved by psychiatrists to treat some mental illnesses.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration has approved the prescription of MDMA for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, for treatment-resistant depression.
The change in the law will come into effect on July 1.
