Meet Mark Lanegan’s Wife, Shelley Brien When Screaming Trees Singer Dies

Irish singer Mark Lanegan was upset died at the age of 57.

Musician best known as the lead singer of the grunge band Screaming Trees as well as a member of Queens of the Stone Age and The Gutter Twins.

His death was revealed in a Twitter declare on Tuesday (February 22) said: “Our dear friend, Mark Lanegan, passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland.”

“A beloved singer, songwriter, author and songwriter, he is 57 years old and is survived by his wife Shelley. No other information is available at this time. We ask that Please respect the family’s privacy,” it continued.

At the time of this writing, his cause of death is still unknown.

Meet Mark Lanegan’s Wife

Mark is survived by his wife Shelley Brien.

She is a singer and songwriter who has collaborated with Mark on many of his songs and accompanied him on tours.

Before becoming a full-time singer, Shelley was a celebrity hairstylist who worked with Zooey Deschanel and Emma Watson.

Inside their marriage

The couple married in the early 2000s.

In an interview with Turn In 2020, Mark revealed that he has been with his wife for 15 years.

They met while Shelley was dating his guitar player at the time. I said GigWise that she started singing with the band when they needed a lead vocalist, and the rest is history!

They lived in Los Angeles for many years but only moved to County Kerry, Ireland in 2020, which is where he died.

Mark raved about her musical abilities in an interview with Another voice in 2019.

“Let’s put it this way. Every girlfriend I’ve had, for any length of time, has left me. All the good people have left me! Up to my current wife. It’s great. to be singing with Shelley, it really shows what a great singer she is,” he said.

Does Mark have children?

To the public’s knowledge, the singer has no children with Shelley or his first wife.

Mark married Wendy Rae Fowler in 1998 but they divorced soon after.

Wendy is an American singer-songwriter and former member of a British rock band We Fell to Earth.
