Helmut deceased on Monday, March 28, 2022, on Long Island, New York. He and the renowned television actress were married for 53 years, since 1969.

The cause of death of the TV producer was not immediately revealed, but his family was invited well-wishers to make contributions to the American Stroke Association instead of sending them flowers.

The soap opera star and her late husband became the proud parents of two adult children: Liza Huber (47) and Andreas Huber (34).

Their firstborn is Liza, who followed in her mother’s footsteps and became a television actress.

The representative of the Huber family also stated: “[He was] a family man, he was a loyal friend, and [he] loved her very much.

Helmut, who is native AustrianBorn in 1937, was appointed to the ÖSV team due to his sporting talent, but decided to do an apprenticeship at the Hotel Maria Theresia, which is surrounded by four ski slopes.

FoxNews reveals that Helmut later studied at L’Ecole Hoteliere, a hospitality and hotel management company in Lausanne, Switzerland, and moved to North America at the age of 21.

After starting his hospitality career in Canada, the youngster moved to NYC at 23 and soon became an American citizen.

A look at Susan and Helmut’s relationship through the years

Helmut Huber and Susan Lucci crossed paths first in the summer of 1965 in Long Island, New York.

Susan was 18 at the time and a student at Marymount College. She was a waitress at the Garden City Hotel when she met Helmut, who worked locally as a chef and food and beverage service manager.

In conversation with People In 1999, Helmut revealed that it was love at first sight.

“I’ve been really lucky because I married someone who’s smart and handsome and he’s very confident and has a great sense of humor,” says All My Children said the actress in 2020.

“And luckily he wasn’t just supportive, which is a lovely word. He was with me, really handy with me and right there. He really was rock solid and I was lucky because how could I know all this? I was 22.’

Helmut became Susan’s manager when her acting career took off. He then went into production and became CEO of Pine Valley Productions.
