Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake didn’t argue backstage at the VMAs – The Hollywood Reporter

Social media was abuzz Tuesday night over what appeared to be a very animated discussion between Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake at the MTV Video Music Awards.
A short clip of Megan and Timberlake seemingly showing the couple arguing backstage at the VMAs went viral. Megan gets her hair and makeup done while Timberlake and the rest of *NSYNC walk by. It seems like a few brief words are exchanged and Megan gestures in response.
Luckily, the internet is wrong on this matter and the incident was much ado about nothing. A source familiar with the situation reports The Hollywood Reporter that: “Meg loves Justin. She said, “No, no, no, we’ve never met before. It was her first meeting and she was excited.”
Further confirmation that the incident was no big deal came from a report in Entertainment tonightSources told the outlet that Timberlake told Megan, “It’s so nice to meet you,” while Megan replied, “No, no, that doesn’t count, that doesn’t count, we need to meet properly.”
VMAs representatives Timberlake and Megan have not yet responded THRRequest for comments.
Timberlake joined the other members of NSYNC at the awards ceremony as surprise presenter of the Best Pop award. Nicki Minaj introduced the band, which included members Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, calling their reunion an “iconic moment.”
A little later, Megan took the stage with Cardi B, where the pair performed their new single “Bongos.”
