Meghan Markle and Prince Harry make their first appearance after a surprise visit to the Queen

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are ready for the red carpet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first official appearance at a reception for friends and family at the 2022 Invictus Games in The Hague, Netherlands on Friday. The games, which are a Paralympic-style multisport event for wounded soldiers, officially begin on Saturday.
The event took place at the Nations Home in Invictus Games Park and was hosted by the City of The Hague and the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

On Saturday, both the Duke and Duchess will attend the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge ahead of the Games opening ceremony, where both are expected to deliver a speech.
It was only recently confirmed that Meghan will be attending the Games; It’s unclear how long she will stay.
En route to the event, the couple stopped at Windsor Castle to visit Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Charles.
The stop marks their first visit together in two years since they officially stepped down as working members of the royal family and relocated to North America at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Harry has twice traveled back publicly for solo tours: first to attend Prince Philip’s funeral last April and again in July to unveil a statue of his mother, Princess Diana, alongside Prince William.
