Meghan McCain – the daughter of the late Arizona Republican Senator John McCain – tweeted on Tuesday that the state’s Republican Party had gone “total MAGA.”

All of the candidates endorsed by former President Donald Trump won the Republican primaries in Arizona.

McCain’s tweets focused on Trump’s pick in the governor’s race, Kari Lake. The former Phoenix messenger is up against former real estate developer Karrin Taylor Robson, who was endorsed by Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and former Vice President Mike Pence.

Robson led Tuesday night by 10% when it comes to early voting and mail-in ballots.

McCain wrote on Election Day: “Kari Lake is more likely to win despite the fact that she is a lifelong progressive libertarian, maxing out Obama during her lifetime. her,” McCain wrote.

“All she had to do was throw up talking points of MAGA and everyone that bought it. She’s a con, a conspiracy theorist, and not a Government figure,” added the former co-host of “The View”.

After Lake took the lead, McCain tweeted, “I find my initial predictions correct despite initial excitement about Robson taking the lead.

“Congratulations to my home state on completing the complete transition to MAGA/conspiracy theory/scammers. The voters have spoken – be careful what you wish for…”

Mediaite reports that McCain deleted a Tuesday tweet in which she describes Trump’s “Make America Great Again” movement as a “cancer.”

“[A]It’s clear that the Arizona GOP would rather make a point about who can drink enough Maga kool-aid than win elections or actually rule,” she said.
