Megyn Kelly slams Fauci’s ‘lies’ about lab leak theory as she mocks him as ‘mini god’

Former FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly slammed Dr. Anthony Fauci for “lying” about the origins of COVID-19 when she addressed the mainstream media viewing him as a “mini god.”

In the latest episode of her Megyn Kelly Show, the former host discussed recently released emails showing that Fauci commissioned a paper to refute the possibility that COVID originated in a lab – before launching the study weeks later released at a press conference at the White House.

She suggested that the doctor deliberately lied about the possibility that COVID-19 might have leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China, because the United States was funding gain-of-function research on coronaviruses in the lab.

“He didn’t specify where the pandemic originated from because China,” Kelly said.

She also ridiculed the mainstream media for not discussing the recent revelations because they consider Fauci a “superhero” and a “mini-god.”

Her tirade came as senior scientific advisers testified before Congress that there was mounting evidence that COVID originated in a laboratory and accused Fauci of trying to cover up the claims.

Over the weekend, House Republicans investigating the COVID-19 pandemic released bombastic emails showing the former head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had commissioned and finally approved a research paper in which it was claimed it was “unlikely” that the virus had leaked from a lab.

According to one of the paper’s authors, “Our main work … was focused on trying to disprove every kind of laboratory theory.”

Just weeks after its publication in February 2020, Fauci quoted the paper in a press conference with former President Donald Trump when asked about the possibility that COVID had leaked from a lab.

He said at the time: “There was a recent study in which a group of highly skilled evolutionary virologists looked at the sequence … in bats as they develop and the mutations that were required to get to the point where it is now.” , is entirely consistent with a species jump from animal to human.’

“So the paper will be available,” Fauci continued. “I don’t have the authors right now, but we can make them available to you.”

Megyn Kelly discussed those revelations on her podcast on Wednesday, claiming he “rigged” coverage of the origins of COVID.

“This guy, it’s amazing, he got away with it,” she said. “It’s amazing that the mainstream media isn’t more interested in outright lies, they come out every week, but they just love their little Fauci superhero puppet.

“Each of them falls asleep with it by their bedsides every night, and no narrative can be advanced to contradict that.”

She then ridiculed Fauci’s remarks at the April 2020 press conference, saying, “Fauci went so far as to basically pretend he didn’t know these people” who wrote the report. ‘Like “I can’t even remember the names of the people who were on that paper.”

Kelly also suggested that the reason Fauci denied the possibility that COVID could have originated in a lab is because he and the paper’s other authors “have been in bed with China.”

“They were protecting China,” she said, since “the US was funding this whole thing — including what’s going on in the Wuhan lab, including gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses to make them deadlier and more contagious, and we didn’t want to, that someone takes a closer look under the hood, that’s the truth.

“It was all lies,” Kelly continued. “Every day we get new emails showing that Fauci and his little virologists who participated in that Nature article that they used to stop honest virologists from saying it was a lab leak lied.

“It was all a Fauci operation — it was disinformation, as the media likes to call it, and you’re not going to hear about it in the mainstream media,” which sees Fauci as a “mini god,” she said.

“He’s a little superhero on the left and they’re not going to cover that,” Kelly continued.

Kelly’s comments came as experts, including a former Biden staffer and Donald Trump’s CDC director, testified before the House Subcommittee on COVID-19 that taxpayer-funded gain-of-function likely caused the virus, which originated at the Chinese facility.

dr Jamie Metzl, a self-proclaimed Democrat who worked for President Biden when he was in the Senate, said he prefers the lab leak theory because “the Chinese government has done everything in its power” to block investigations.

He said China had an “incentive” to find the animal from which Covid-19 originated while pushing the theory of animal-to-human transmission but had not done so.

“Given that the Chinese government has every incentive to find an intermediate host, it is very significant that it was not found,” Metzl said. “I think it’s very telling after we haven’t found it for three years.”
