“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Melissa Gorga has garnered a lot of attention for a recent post on Instagram about her daughter Antonia, amid criticism she received over a conversation she had with her teenage daughter in Episode 7 of Season 12 of RHONJ received .

Gorga posted a photo of her 16-year-old holding a Best Tumbler award, as well as a video of Antonia falling while wearing an ACL knee brace. “Watch it come full circle!” she wrote in the caption.

She continued: “As I watch #rhonj, @antoniagorgaa walked in from her jubilee banquet and won the ‘Best Tumbler’ award!!! That’s why I pushed her!! I led her!! I know she wanted it. That’s her tumbling again just last week!!! #wedontquit #rhonj.” However, Gorga soon came under fire for her post.

Gorga was previously criticized for her comments about Antonia on a recent episode of RHONJ

Viewers saw Gorga talk to her daughter about her fall in Season 12 Episode 7 of “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” They talked about how Antonia took a break from cheerleading after tearing her cruciate ligament, and Antonia said she wasn’t interested in returning to the sport.

Gorga expressed hurt at leaving the sport in her confessional and fired back at Antonia for being “lazy”. Fans were quick to blast Gorga on social media upon seeing what may have influenced the Bravo star’s recent Instagram post. However, the criticism continued on Reddit after Gorga’s post was shared on the platform.

Fans slammed Gorga, saying she made the post of Antonia’s achievements about herself

The post has been shared Reddit and many fans slammed Gorga for her comments. “Well you should support her if she wakes up one day and doesn’t want to do it anymore, not force her,” one pointed out. One person said: “Many of me are in favor of saying how proud you are of your daughter and how much she had to overcome to get there.”

Another response read, “Why is she taking credit for her? [daughter’s] Perfomance? She’s a f***ing narcissist.” One person agreed, “I, I, I — she’s gross when it comes to Antonia.” Another commented, “I love that ‘that’s why I pushed her, me guided her, I know she wanted it.’ She’s such a narcissist.”

“Imagine being so insecure that you have to revolve everything in your life around yourself, even yourself [daughter’s] achievements,” said another person. Several other fans pointed out that it appeared Gorga edited the photo to change her daughter’s appearance. “I literally had no idea who this was until I scrolled down,” one wrote. “Didn’t recognize Antonia at all.”

One person asked, “Looks like she got her nose done?! It looks a bit narrower than last night’s episode?!” Another agreed, “Uh yeah that’s the bigger story here, that doesn’t look like her daughter at all.” Someone said, “That’s literally not Antonia.” Another commented, “Either heavily filtered or with a nose job.” One commenter said, “She looks totally different. Did Melissa use a filter herself? [daughter]? I know it wouldn’t be the first time and I find it disgusting.”
