Michael Dawson & Neil Warnock smash £29m for Tottenham

Michael Dawson and Neil Warnock have chatted about Antonio Rudiger on Football Saturday, with Tottenham keen on signing the Chelsea man.
What’s the matter?
Well, sitting next to Jeff Stelling was Paul Merson and Clinton Morrison criticizing Dawson and Warnock £29 million Defender.

First, former Tottenham giant Michael Dawson questioned his performance against Brentford, saying: “His celebration was over the top for me. He walks, he runs to the manager and cuddles him! Concentration.”
Then Warnock added: “If you play a back four, it’s an accident waiting to happen.”

The two clearly don’t appreciate Rudiger and feel he enjoys plenty of protection in a three-man centre-back system under Thomas Tuchel.
It was Eurosport who revealed Spurs are monitoring the situation of the German, whose contract expires in June.
As of today, Chelsea cannot offer him a new deal after the British government sanctioned Roman Abramovich.
Barcelona, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the 29-year-old, who is set to be one of the hottest free agents out there this summer.
Antonio Rudiger would thrive at Tottenham
In our opinion, despite the opinions of Dawson and Warnock, Rudiger would shine at Tottenham under Antonio Conte.
Interestingly, amid the conversation about Chelsea’s No.2, Merson claimed he was the “best” when used in a three-man centre-back system.
Crucially, this is the same form Conte uses at Spurs. With Cristian Romero and Eric Dier at his side, Rudiger would have everything he needs to thrive in north London.
Of course, a Chelsea swap for Tottenham would certainly ruin his reputation at Stamford Bridge so he has to take that into account.
However, if there is a move, we expect Rüdiger to hit the ground running in N17.
