Michael Owen said further Premier League Productions Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool could still win the Premier League title ahead of Manchester City despite failing to win against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday night.
Liverpool played a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Anfield in the Premier League tonight.
The result means the Reds are now at the top of the Premier League table with 83 points from 35 games.
Last season’s champions Manchester City are second with 83 points from 34 games.
Liverpool have a better goal difference but City are in action on Sunday.
Former Liverpool striker Owen believes the Reds can still win the Premier League title this season.
Michael Owen on the title race between Liverpool and Manchester City
Owen continued Premier League Productions: “It is not a catastrophe. If City wins all their games, they will still win it. You only have to slip once and Liverpool are there in an instant. It’s a blow, but the title rice lives on.”
In our view, the Premier League title race between Liverpool and Manchester City is not over yet.
City could still drop points.
Just look at how Pep Guardiola’s side collapsed against Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinals.
City can be beaten and drop points.
Just like Liverpool did against Tottenham at Anfield.
We believe the Premier League title race will be decided on the final day and that Liverpool can still win it.
