Michael Owen notes what Jota did a second before Liverpool conceded a goal

There will now be a few relieved Liverpool players on their way back to Merseyside.
Liverpool held Manchester City in a 2-2 draw at the Eastlands to ensure they stay in the Premier League title race.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s side, still a point behind City, shot themselves in the foot a number of times that night.
Fabinho was instrumental in allowing Kevin De Bruyne the time and space to execute his shot, which saw the Reds fall behind after just five minutes.
And then Trent Alexander-Arnold was guilty of sleeping as Gabriel Jesus squeezed in behind him to put City 2-1 ahead after Diogo Jota equalized for Liverpool.

And Michael Owen, in conversation with Opus Sport noticed at halftime what Jota was doing just before the Jesus gate.
The former Liverpool hitman illustrated how Jota reminded Alexander-Arnold who he was tagging by pointing at Pep Guardiola’s attacker, only for the 23-year-old to ignore him.
He said Opus Sport at half-time: “I also think when we see the ball being cleared, we see Jota pointing at Trent and saying, ‘Look, that’s your man!’. He tells him “don’t let him go” and what does Trent do? He lets him go.”
Like Fabinho, it was an unusually poor performance from Alexander-Arnold.
Well, defensively.
Up front he was excellent as usual and got another assist for Jota’s equaliser, but defensively he was certainly struggling a bit and that’s why he and Fabinho will go to bed relieved tonight.
