Michael Rudman approached Mons Venus with gun and mask: cops

Three security guards prevented a masked gunman from entering a strip club early Sunday morning, according to surveillance footage released by police in Tampa, Fla.

Local police officers identified the suspect as Michael Marko Rudman, 44, and said it was unclear why he attempted to enter Mons Venus armed and wearing a mask.

In a press statement and court documents, authorities allege Rudman arrived in a silver pickup truck at around 1:15 a.m

Wearing a red and black devil mask and the words “kill” and “darkk [sic] One” on his arms he walked to the entrance, authorities said. He was holding a Glock 9mm pistol and a flashlight, they said.

“He left the vehicle in the parking lot, not pulled it into a parking space,” prosecutors wrote in a request for remand. “He exited the vehicle in a red and gray shirt [t-shirt] with skulls, red and gray camouflage pants, and a red and black satanic mask covering his entire face. He exited the vehicle with a loaded Glock 9mm in his right hand. He immediately went to the main entrance of the strip club.”

But as the video shows, a man grabbed him at the scene. This man was identified by WTVT as Manuel “Manny” Anthony Resto, a guard for Mons Venus.

“When a security guard at the venue saw the gun, he charged the suspect and knocked the gun out of his hand,” officials said. “During the incident, a single bullet from the suspect’s gun hit the front door of the venue. Nobody was injured in the hall. One of the three security guards involved was slightly injured in the ensuing altercation with Rudman.”
