“Salah is without a doubt a role model because he is the best player in the world at the moment. And he deserved to win the Ballon d’Or last year instead of Lionel Messi.”

Hefzalla is yet to force his way into the first-team picture at Millwall. But he caught the eye with a fine finish in the reserves earlier this year – a piece of spellbinding magic that earned the youngster a nomination for Lions’ Goal of the Month honors.

However, Hefzalla still has a lot to learn before he can follow in Salah’s footsteps, despite his Egyptian Omar Marmoush could will grace the Premier League stage next season.
