The New York Jets surprised the NFL draft when they traded and picked Iowa State running against Breece Hall with an overall pick of 35 in the second round.
Not many people predicted that Gang Green would pick a run back, let alone take on an offensive playstyle so soon. Now it looks like their risky game could pay big dividends in 2022.

Live by the hype
Flight 2022, a five-episode Jets documentary series that gives fans a behind-the-scenes look, provides plenty of film research with the coaching staff.
One of the most interesting things about the series was when offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur was asked about the acquisition of Hall and How will he fit? In this season:
“He is just the ultimate combination of speed and size. [Hall] up to almost 220 pounds and he ran in that high 4.3 seconds. When you watch college football, these running backs don’t really run out of the area the way it’s taught in the NFL. On Breece’s tape you can see it when he’s out on the field and that’s what we’re looking for. “
According to many reports, Jets tried transaction back to the backend of the first round to select Hall.
That would give Gang Green a record of four first-round draft picks, the same way they had 21 years ago in 2000 with that franchise change class.
LaFleur admitted when they didn’t work it out that he didn’t think the Jets would be able to get Hall and that he wasn’t even “in my mind at first” until we went ahead and got him. that.

So, what can we expect from the highest manuscript run by Jets in 31 years?
According to CBS Sports’ Chris Trapasso, Hall planned become the “most productive” rookie active again in 2022.
“He is assertive, runs with quality vision, has the elusive ability needed for a bigger, thicker back and possesses impressive long speeds at the low end. Hall has 22 runs over 15 yards in 2022, the seventh most in the draft class. In New York, Hall will take on the task of returning to No. 1 after the leap. In terms of what should be a completely improved offense, Hall would be the most efficient rookie runner. “
Heading into day three of the 2022 NFL draft, college football analyst Desmond Howard predict that Hall will win the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year award for this upcoming season.
If that crystal ball prediction comes true, Hall will become the first offensive rookie in Jets history to go with that honor.
The former Iowa State production will team up with second-year Michael Carter to form a Batman-to-Robin combo. Make no mistake, although the MC has senior status, he will play a second role in this offense.
Hall is expected to be the one to get the majority of the carry when Carter performs in the short and situational pass game as a pure runner.
