Mikel Arteta claims Arsenal have a meeting coming up

Mikel Arteta has spoken to the media ahead of tomorrow’s Premier League clash between Arsenal and Brentford.
Interestingly, the Spaniard provided an update on the aftermath of Gabriel Martinelli’s strange red card in the 1-0 win over Wolves.
What is the story?
Yes – as you know – the Brazilian was sent off two yellow cards within seconds of the last game against Wolves.

Martinelli was booked first for pushing Daniel Podence as he was taking a throw-in, before Michael Oliver handed him the second yellow shirt for a foul on Chiquinho.
When asked if he had spoken to Professional Game Matching Company Limited (PGMOL) about the incident, Arteta speak: “Not yet, that’s going to happen soon, but obviously, we’ve reported opinion and ignorance on the decision.”
Apparently, it looks like the case hasn’t been closed yet.
Unfortunately, despite Arsenal’s announcement of the decision, Martinelli was still serving a one-match ban.
Arsenal and Mikel Arteta must be very angry
In our opinion, the Gunners and Arteta have every right to be angry.
Many people have praised Oliver for his decision, and in truth, you can see why he thinks it’s the right thing to do.
However, from our point of view – we feel it’s unfair, purely because Martinelli didn’t know he had been shown a yellow card to his name, let alone two.
The whole point of a yellow card is to serve as a warning and players often tend to stay calm after receiving a yellow card, or else they will be sent off for a second offense.
Sadly for Martinelli, he was not given that luxury.
Keep an eye on the situation, as we will soon know the outcome of Arsenal’s meeting with PGMOL.
