Mild Sunday, but we’re planning on our next system on Tuesday

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) – A great evening across the region, but as clouds move in, temperatures could drop into the 40s by Sunday morning. In some northern counties, readings could fall into the upper 30s.

Sunday afternoon will be pleasant again with sunny skies and some heavy clouds with temperatures back in the low 70s.

On Monday we will track our next system as it moves across the Southeast. We will watch for increasing clouds throughout the day and possibly a few thunderstorms to our west. This is where the likelihood of strong storms is highest, particularly in the Mississippi Pine Belt.

Showers and storms will develop locally early Tuesday, with some drenching rainfall likely to last into the early afternoon hours before clearing.

Thanksgiving looks cooler and partly sunny behind this system, with highs in the low 60s.
