“The Sanders House is an amazing historic property,” said the Battle on the Beach graduate in a press release. “It’s a lot more than I’ve ever taken on before, but I’m determined to bring it back as a neighborhood gem.”

“Part of our strategy at Discovery+ is to serve our biggest fans by delving even deeper into their favorite shows and stories,” said Discovery Executive Lisa Holme in a press release. “By focusing on an epic project, ‘Good Bones: Risky Business’ takes an exciting new step for this franchise and is a perfect streaming complement to the hit HGTV series.”

HGTV renewed the series midway through its sixth season, which attracted more than 24 million viewers according to the network.

“The great thing about signing a midseason pickup is that we know we have a good thing, a proven cast member,” said HGTV President Jane Latman in a July 2021 press release. “Mina and Karen have compelling personal lives , but they are also incredibly talented and creative when it comes to renovations and the camera loves them. No wonder they are gaining new fans season after season.”

Starsiak Hawk shares her 3 tips for getting started with house flipping

The Rock the Block alum revealed on Instagram that she knew “nothing” about renovations when she started flipping houses. To help others get started, she shared her top three tips.

She advised “starting small” first by “picking a small project or something cosmetic to start with! Taking on too much can be frustrating and prevent you from starting another project.”

“Do your research,” Starsiak Hawk added. “Don’t go blindly into something you’ve never done before! Look online for videos from pros for tips and advice before you go.”

She concluded that aspiring swim finrs should reach out to staff at their local health food stores. As the mother-of-two wrote, “They can help you choose the right product for your needs and usually have experience in the industry so they can give you some tips to get you started.”
