Minnesota twins awaiting MRI results on Byron Buxton

Midfielder Byron Buxton is receiving an MRI of his right knee after leaving the field during the first half of Friday’s game against the Red Sox in Boston, Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said.
Buxton was injured in a last-second slip into second base after the Red Sox misplayed his bounce into the shallow left court to lead the game.
Speaking after the 8-4 win over Minnesota, Baldelli said he would stop making any moves until the results of the magnetic resonance imaging are available for the team.
“We’re not there yet. We’ll wait and see what we find out,” Baldelli told reporters.
Buxton signed a seven-year, $100 million contract extension with Minnesota in November, despite a passing injury.
Since his major league debut on June 14, 2015, he has played just 500 of the Twins’ 978 games and has been on the injury list 11 times in his career.
