MLB Home Run Record: List of most home runs in a season, HR leader of a season as Aaron Judge looks at history

Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit his 60th home run of the season Tuesday night in the Yankees’ 147th game of the season. It’s a truly historic campaign as Judge leads the majors in Home Runs, RBI, Runs, On Base Percentage, Slugging Percentage, OPS, OPS+, Total Bases, WAR and several other categories. He also leads the AL in batting average, meaning he is currently the Triple Crown winner. In the last 55 years, only Miguel Cabrera has managed that in 2012.

Overall, Judge bats .316/.419/.703 (214 OPS+) with 60 homers, 128 RBI, 123 runs, 16 stolen bases and a 9.7 WAR. Almost everything jumps out of that line, but it’s mostly the 60 home runs.
