The Montgomery Fire Department rescued a woman who was in an apartment that caught fire this morning. At approximately 4 a.m., Montgomery Fire/Rescue responded to the 5800 block of Eagle Circle and saw smoke coming from the first floor of a two-story residence. The emergency services extinguished the fire and found a 30-year-old woman in the bathroom of the apartment. The unresponsive woman was rescued and taken outside to a medical team who performed life-saving measures. The patient was later transported to Baptist Medical Center. All other residences were also evacuated and there were no reports of injuries to civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Bureau of Investigations
