Mortal Kombat 1 reveals General Shao and Sindel

Mortal Kombat 1 came back with a new trailer for Gamescom 2023 that included some reveals – notably the inclusion of General Shao and Sindel.

The two new characters are introduced in a new trailer titled Rulers of Outworld, which offers a first look at gameplay and story elements. As supreme ruler of Outworld’s army, General Shao has proven his loyalty to his empire through countless victories in battle, and possesses a playstyle that dominates his opponents with conquest strength and iron will. Sindel is the Empress of Outworld who fights to protect her family and empire, possessing the ability to defeat enemies with her mysterious hair, piercing scream, and levitation power.

Additionally, Motaro and Shujinko appear in the video as new cameo fighters who can assist with a variety of support moves during matches.
