Mostly dry, sunny, still hot this weekend

Friday morning felt a little more autumnal in central and southern Alabama. Lows reached the 60s. Friday afternoon looks a little less hot than Thursday afternoon. High temperatures generally warm into the low 90s rather than the mid 90s. Skies will remain mostly to partly sunny Friday with no chance of rain. Friday night looks pleasantly warm, with temperatures in the 80s by 7 p.m. as the high school football games begin. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.

This weekend will remain mostly to partly sunny and mostly rain-free with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s on Saturday and Sunday. Next week will start off mostly dry and hot with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s on Monday and Tuesday. Models show another front moving into Alabama on Wednesday. This front could move southeast of Alabama by the end of next week, causing further cooling next weekend. The front could increase our chance of rain and reduce the heat some Wednesday through Friday.
